Thank you for all your suggestions for threads! I had the best time pulling threads for my first Santa Stitches 1 - Milanese Stitch. This is a large stitch and an overdyed thread would work well because the variations of the thread would really show. I used it for the gold. I thought such a busy gold needed a more matte companion and choose velvet for step two of the Milanese Stitch.
After a trip to my LSN, Wool & Willow Needlepoint, this is what I came up with! Follow along as I stitch Santa Stitches 1.
