“We're an online needlepoint store that features beautiful hand-painted canvases, kits, and every type of needlepoint supply you could possibly need. We want to make needlepoint fun, and accessible for a new generation, while making it easy for the experts to find their favorite designers and canvases.
“We've decided to do an online store for several reasons. One is millennials prefer to do things on their own time (shopping, watching tv/video, learning new things, etc.) so making an online store is an obvious step towards that. It also allows us to pivot and respond to emerging trends much faster than a typical brick and mortar store, and deliver a comfortable shopping experience for everyone.
Hayley has always enjoyed fiber-arts since she was a little girl. Soon after starting her career in the needlepoint industry she noticed there was a problem; not many crafters her age needlepointed, or even knew what it was. After she looked into the resurgence of knitting among her generation, and the close-knit, positive community that surfaced around it online. She decided to try and do the same with needlepoint. Getting younger people to discover needlepoint is one of our major goals with this store, and we have a lot of really interesting site features we plan on rolling out over the next few months to help engage younger generations through the channels they respond to best.”

Weather and Needlepoint!
My two most popular canvases for May…
Weather and stitching often goes hand in hand. I see comments about cold, rainy weather being the perfect stitching day all the time. Or its too cold to do anything but stitch. I owe our horrible winter to the popularity of these two canvases! Needlepoint can take us away. Help us dream about places that are warm and sunny. It’s amazing to me that a needle, thread and painted canvas brings this much happiness!

Tent Stitch Needlepoint!
I’m working on my S63 Pink Saying. I was thinking that I would tent stitch The sky, water, sand and bodies. So far so good. Then last night I tried a couple of different decorative stitches in the honeycomb “frame”. Too much compensation. I lost the effect of the painted design. The design became really confusing! Lesson learned… sometimes tent stitch is best. I will save the decorative stitches for the bathing suits and hats. I’ll keep you posted!

Oh Shift Needlepoint!
Finished needlepoint shifts are popping up all over! I LOVE seeing all the amazing ways each stitcher interprets these little designs. The threads, stitches and finishing exceed my wildest dreams. Mother’s Day Needlearts!
Best that I can guess this is my first needlearts project! I was 8 yrs. old and it must have been a Brownie’s project. My sister found it during my parent’s last move. And the thread is pink! I am thrilled I have this special remembrance and can track my needlepoint career back to this little project!

Needlepoint Showcase!
There are many things to do to get ready for the TNNA shows. One of them is to put together my Needlepoint Showcase display. I’ve had a note on my bulletin board saying “THINK NP showcase, what to display???” for months.
I just got my pillow back from the finisher yesterday. Janet at Cleveland Cushion did a wonderful job! It turned out better than I could of hoped! Then I shopped for a few display items and could throw away my annoying post it. I’m ready for Friday night!
The Needlepoint Showcase is Friday evening during the Opening TNNA Event.
It’s a collection of designers featuring their latest designs and/or finished samples that are sure to get the creative juices flowing as attendees prepare for opening day of the show. This is a great opportunity for attendees to see the latest new designs and meet the presenting designers.
