SLANTED GOBELIN STITCH

      

The first block for the Painted Stitches Sampler is the SLANTED GOBELIN STITCH. I stitched it horizontally over 3 mesh threads, using the continental stitch to divide the groupings. I have done the needlepoint stitch diagram in color. I hope this helps see the steps. Whenever I stitch a multiple step stitch I always do it in two colors. That way I can see step one and fill in with step two.
