Framed Stem Stitch

The twelfth block for the needlepoint Painted Stitches Sampler is the Framed Stem Stitch. I did this stitch as a “framed stitch” so you would see where the leaves start and stop. I think the “frame” really highlights the leaf effect. I stitched the vertical lines first then filled in the Stem Stitch.
